Why we built OMG!
Many of us pray every day, but we rarely stop to look at how we pray. Do we praise God? Do we surrender to Him? Do we lift up others, or mostly ask for ourselves?
OMG! grew out of Proseuchéology (say it: pro-sue-kay-ology)—the theological science and systematic study of prayer (from the Greek word proseuche, “prayer”). We wanted to take that study out of the classroom and put it in your hands, in plain words anyone can follow.
Our foundation
Prayer is talking with God the Father, through Jesus Christ the Son, in the Holy Spirit, with Scripture.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”— John 14:6 (KJV 1769 Oxford edition)
We believe that prayer, in the practice of Proseuchéology, is principally for those who engage in the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus our Lord, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We pray to the Father, through the Son, in the Spirit.
“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”— Ephesians 2:18 (KJV 1769 Oxford edition)
Wherever you are on that journey, you are welcome here.
What OMG! does
Analyze
Type, paste, or speak a prayer. OMG! shows its 4 parts, the 10 prayer elements, and the Bible verses it echoes.
Compose
Tell OMG! what is on your heart. It helps you write a balanced prayer filled with Scripture.
Journal
Save your prayers and notes, watch how you grow, and download them as a Word document.
English and Spanish
OMG! understands prayers in English and Spanish. Pray in Spanish, by typing or speaking, and OMG! answers in Spanish. That includes the feedback, the fuller prayer, and the tips. Compose works the same way: write your theme in Spanish to get a prayer in Spanish.
English answers use the King James Version (KJV 1769 Oxford edition). Spanish answers use the Reina-Valera 1909. The menus and buttons are still in English for now.
En español: OMG! entiende oraciones en inglés y en español. Escriba o diga su oración en español y OMG! le responde en español, con versículos de la Reina-Valera 1909. Por ahora, los menús y botones están en inglés.
How we use AI with care
OMG! uses artificial intelligence (AI). We take that seriously. Here are our promises to you:
- OMG! looks only at the words, never your heart or faith.
- AI can make mistakes, so check it against your Bible.
- We never sell your prayers.
- Your journal stays private in your own account.
Still growing
OMG! is in Beta, which means we are still learning and improving. Thank you for praying with us and helping make OMG! better for everyone.
